Texas Guns / Boot Hill

Texas Guns / Boot Hill
Double feature includes "Texas Guns" and "Boot Hill" "Texas Guns" - When John Henry Lee (Willie Nelson) gets out of jail after more than 20 years, he decides he's not quite ready to retire from bank robbing. So when he gets out, he robs a bank and then has the brilliant idea to reunite with his old gang and finish off the train robbery that landed him in prison in the first place. However, this means that Captain Oren Hayes (Richard Widmark), the Texas Ranger who put John behind bars, isn't far behind. To make matters worse, a young band of outlaws is on the trail of the very same train. So get ready for an Old West shoot-out, where old friends and new enemies square off in a showdown set for dawn. But watch out because the bullets will be flying! "Boot Hill" - A spaghetti western that is decidedly tongue-in-cheek, "Boot Hill" follows the adventures of a tough frontiersman named Cat Stevens (Terence Hill) and his hulkish partner known as Arch Hutch (Bud Spencer). These boys are not really looking for trouble, but trouble seems to have a knack of finding them anyway. When Honey, the wealthy town boss decides to flex a bit of muscle, these two drifters have no choice but to meet the challenge of his outlaw henchmen with guns blazing. Throw in a few eccentric performers, and a bunch of rowdy women from the local parlor, and you have a regular western six-gun circus! There is no telling how this action-packed "shoot-em-up" will end, but one thing is for sure - it will be great entertainment. Packaged side by side.

"El Dorado" - Legendary producer-director Howard Hawks teams with two equally legendary stars, John Wayne and Robert Mitchum, in this classic Western drama. Mitchum plays to perfection an alcoholic but gutsy sheriff who relentlessly battles the dark side of the wild West, ruthless cattle barons and crooked "businessmen." The Duke gives an equally adept performance as the sheriff's old friend who knows his way around a gunfight. Filled with brawling action and humor, "El Dorado" delivers the goods. James Caan and Ed Asner co-star. "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" - Ranking with Stagecoach as one of the greatest of its genre, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" is the modern-day Western to beat all Westerns. John Ford, whose very name is synonymous with "Westerns," directed the ideal cast. Jimmy Stewart plays the bungling but charming big-city lawyer determined to rid the fair village of Shinbone of its number one nuisance and Bad Man: Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin). And as if all that weren't enough, the biggest star that ever aimed a six-shooter plays the Man of the title: John Wayne. Super-sincere Stewart and rugged rancher Wayne also share the same love interest (Vera Miles). One gets the gunman but the other gets the gal. "The Shootist" - Afflicted with a terminal illness, John Bernard Brooks (John Wayne), the last of the legendary gunfighters, quietly returns to Carson City for medical attention from his old friend Dr. Hostetler (James Stewart). Aware that his days are numbered, the troubled man seeks solace and peace in a boarding house run by a widow (Lauren Bacall) and her son (Ron Howard). However, it is not Brook's fate to die in peace, as he becomes embroiled in one last valiant battle. "The Sons Of Katie Elder" - Katie Elder bore four sons. The day she is buried they all return home to Clearwater, Texas, to pay their last respects. John Wayne is the eldest and toughest son, the gunslinger.

East Side Lake - East Side Lake is a man-made lake in Austin, Minnesota in western Mower County6, which is in the South-East part of the state. It is the only lake in Mower County, which is one of only four counties in Minnesota without a natural lake.

Western intensification - Western intensification is the intensification of the western arm of an oceanic current due to the Coriolis effect. It is for this reason that the Gulf Stream (a current on the western side of the Atlantic Ocean) is stronger than the California Current (a current on the eastern side of the Pacific Ocean).

Family Man - Family Man is an album released by Black Flag in 1984. It is unique in that one side features Rollins spoken-word tracks and the other side features instrumental tracks.

A Man of no Importance - "A Man of no Importance" is the third single released by the UK-based band Cherubs. The track does not appear on their only album at time of release, Uncovered by Heartbeat, but the b-side is a demo version of Hey Bunny on the CD, and Apollo Studios version of The Kiss All Morning is featured on the 7" b-side.
